One task I especially enjoyed as the Webmaster at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum was helping to design and code HTML emails for major events and announcements. The first one being our happy holidays email, then the Inaugural Exhibitions, and on.

Each email was designed to appear functional with or without images, and to retain its basic structure across various email clients. We experienced consistent growth while I managed the listserve, which I did directly, and I began to learn how error reports and admin privileges functioned for the PHP-driven newsletter interface of list.msu.edu.

I appreciated the chance to experiment with different ways to make functioning, yet eye-catching emails using only basic HTML and CSS code.
